These policies can be sold through a life settlement. A life settlement is the sale of a life insurance policy to a third party investor who will pay the policy owner an amount less than the death benefit amount, but more than the cash surrender value, in turn for becoming the beneficiary. The third party investor will pay for the premiums for the life of the policy.

-Age 65+
-Face amount $50,000+
-Policy must be at least 2 years old
