What you can do; What you should know
You have probably already heard about a crisis facing the medical profession, regarding the overuse of antibiotics. If you haven't heard, you should educate yoruself because your future health may depend on it. Medical science is beginning to realize that even the strongest super-antibiotics are no longer packing the punch they used to pack. What we are creating is a strain of organisms that eventually will not respond to even the strongest antibiotics science can offer. Antibiotic resistance is already a major problem in the hospitals and it's only going to get worse.
Consider this: Flu shots are already in drastically short supply. If there were to be a pandemic outbreak of avian flu, the effects could be devastating.
In light of the recent reports about a new strain of superflu that scientists are calling H5N1, coupled with the fact that the only medicine known to kill it (a product called Tamiflu) is in drastically short supply, it behooves each of us to educate ourselves thoroughly on flu prevention, flu treatments and flue shot alternatives.
A note of warning about buying Tamiflu online. Not every online source for Tamiflu is legitimate. Be very careful about ordering this product online. It is hard to imagine that there is much of it legitimately available outside the medical community at this point so be sure you are dealing with a reputable company and getting the real thing.
A person who is prepared need not panic but for the person who doesn't know what's going on, panic is unavoidable. So pray and hope for the best and prepare for the worst.
