Accutron Astronaut: Circa 1966, 38 mm gold filled screw back, 14k solid gold bezel, stainless steel crown and battery hatch cover and clearly marked on the back. The dial is an original black Bulova Accutron Astronaut with luminous dagger markers, hash marks, and hands in mint condition. The movement is the original Bulova Accutron model 214 with back set. This model has a rotating twenty-four hour bezel and an additional twenty-four hour GMT hand. Nice high quality factory JB Champion 14k gold-filled band with signed deployment clasp.

These Accutrons were very futuristic for the time, as well as highly accurate timepieces. This model, the Astronaut, makes references to manned space flights, as Accutron movements were used as part of the navigational timing devices for the rockets in the NASA programs.
