USED CARS This is a flashback to my teenage years when I spent a lot of time hanging out on Used Car Lots. This accumulation of memories portrays several of the cars Martha and I drove; our first date was in a 1950 Chevrolet, we had a 1950 Studebaker when we married and drove a 1957 Pontiac when our children were babies. I dedicate this painting to the late Jack Mason of Austin who sold me numerous Used Cars on credit with only my promise to pay and always took them back in trade when they couldn't be repaired. - GEORGE BOUTWELL
